Fine Carving Tibetan Buddhist Butter lamp
This is a traditional butter lamp used as a ritual item in Buddhist monasteries. Yak butter or Ghee is use traditionally use to lit up the lamp. Butter lamps are believed to help focus the mind and aid meditation.
The butter lamp looks unique and it has fine detailed carving. This lamp is also known as offering lamp because it is use to offer to the deities that represent light and knowledge. This butter lamp is handmade in Nepal by Tibetan artist near Kopan monastery. He has a wider knowledge regarding Tibetan art and culture.
