This hand-painted orange color wooden box has Snow Lion on the front, a mythical creature in Tibetan culture, symbolizes fearlessness, joy, and the pure, vibrant energy of the mountains, embodying the spirit of Tibet. At the top is a double dorjee, a powerful Tibetan symbol representing stability, protection, and the unshakeable foundation of enlightenment, often used to signify resilience and indestructible wisdom.
These beautiful large Tibetan boxes are hand crafted by one of the Newari Communities of Bhaktapur Nepal, The Prajapatis. After the wooden box is complete, it is then hand painted by the Buddhist community of Tamangs in Kathmandu Valley. It takes upto 3 days to complete one box.
The vibrant colors, auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism, beautiful designs and detailed paint-work makes this box special and decorative.
