Kapoor Rope Incense

This is a Nepalese Kapoor rope incense handmade in Nepal. Kapoor tree is a large evergreen tree that grows upto 20-30 meter tall. Camphor relieve pain and reduce itching. It has also been used to treat fungal infectionof the toe nail, coldsore, hemorrhoids and osteoarthribs. It has astrong odoriferous. This is abundantly used in stupas, temples for aromatic ambiance. This rope incense is known as Dhup in nepali and it is mostly used by Newar communities of Nepal.

Rope incense have special technique to prepare by filling the natural herbs into Eco friendly lokta paper and twisting it to make a rope incense. Each rope incense is hand rolled carefully. In the Himalayas, these rope incense making is process is used from generation to generation.
